My February Must Haves

Do you love checking out people’s monthly favorites on YouTube? What about reading about them? I know I do! Those videos or posts have introduced me to some of my favorite products and people.

Which leads me to today’s post. I decided to jump on the bandwagon and start sharing my monthly, or if I’m being realistic, bimonthly favorites.

Below you’ll find a couple of different items, why I love them, and a link if you want to check them out.

Beauty: Morphe’s 15T Pallet

This pallet has been the one I find myself reaching for every morning. Just look at those shades! I find myself dipping into the brown and orange shades every time.

Here is the look I love to create with it. It has been my every day look for the last two months.

I use these colors to creat it.

If you’re a beauty guru reading this, don’t judge me to harshly. I was a late bloomer when it came to make up. I only owned one three shadow eye pallet until three years ago.

But back to the pallet. The best part about this little pallet is it’s only $16 plus shipping! That’s what I love about all Morphe products honestly, they’re super affordable.

Don’t forget to use a discount code before checking out. A lot of beauty vloggers have one. It usually just saves you the shipping cost. Which I hate paying. Amazon prime has me spoiled.

Book: Thorne Of Glass Series

Y’all I cannot put this series down. I have read five books from the series since I started back November. I’m currently reading book number six.

If you like young adult and fantasy, you’ll love this one. It has magic, a love story, some serious heartbreak, suspense, and epic fight scenes.

There is a prequel, so make sure you read that first. It really helps you understand the main character. I will warn you though, it can be a little hard to get through. I almost quit twice, but pushed through. It’s totally worth it.

Podcast: Crime Junkie

One of my friends told me about this podcast back in November. I’ve been hooked ever since. I love this podcast because the episodes are only about 30 minutes. Which is the perfect amount of time for me since I listen on my headphones while I do things around the house.

If you find true crime interesting and have a limited amount of time, this podcast is for you.

Instagram Account: @mirandainclt

Y’all I love following this woman.

1. She cracks me up. Her carpool confessions are the best.

2. I love her hair tips. Having purple hair isn’t easy.

3. She gives great parenting advice. One of my favorite post from her is Penciles, Post-Its, and Periods. In this post she discusses how she approaches the topics of sex and periods with her girls. You should definitely check it out.

4. She’s honest. I feel like that is rare in the Instagram world.

Run over to her account, and check this mama out.

Other: Faster Way To Fat Loss

One of my many goals for this year is to start making healthier choices. The last few months of the year I just felt so blah. Do you know what I mean? I was just so tired, and felt so gross after I ate.

Thanks to Miranda, yes the lady above, I was introduced to FASTERway To Fat Loss. It’s seriously the best thing I could of done for myself. I feel so much more in control of my body, energized, and I’m not feeling deprived.

I plan do a whole post on my experience after I finish my first seven weeks. However if your interested in it now, please fill free to message me. If you want to sign up, definitely sign up with my coach Kristen Mills. She is so encouraging, has great meal ideas, and doesn’t outlaw dairy. Because let’s be real, this girl cannot go without creamer in her coffee each morning.

Mom Item: Visual Timer & Clock

This thing has been a LIFESAVER! As you can tell by the name it’s not only a timer, it gives visual ques. Which I love because my kids can’t tell time or have a sense of time yet.

I use it for everything. The two things that I use it for the most though are rest and screen time. The boys have been so BAD about coming downstairs during rest time and asking if its over. Which can be frustrating since that’s the only real break I get during the day. I started using the timer and placing it in the hallway by their rooms. That way when they open their door they can see what color it’s on. If I have it out, all I here is the sounds of doors opening every once in awhile.

This is also helpful during screen time. It keeps us all accountable. I’m so bad about giving them more time then they need because they’re being so quiet. I’ll get caught up in what I’m doing and before I know it’s been a hour. Now I just set the timer. It’s a visual for them, and reminder for me.

Kid Item: KidKraft Ultimate Play Kitchen

This was Sadie’s big present from Santa this year. My husband was so against it. We had one for the boys and they never touched it.

I’m so glad I didn’t listen to him and purchased it anyways. She LOVES it. She’ll spend at least 30 minutes a day playing in her kitchen. She has a fully stocked one as you can tell from the picture. Mama went a little crazy. There were just so many good deals during Christmas!

Besides the kitchen itself, her favorite accessory is the Melissa & Doug Cookies. Look at her baking away.

Recipe: Breakfast Cookies & Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken

Both of these are so simple to prepare, and makes enough for leftovers.

The breakfast cookies are the perfect morning on the go meal. The extras can be frozen and saved for those mornings you don’t have time to make something.

The salsa chicken is delish! It makes great tacos, as well as, a protein for a salad. I try, emphasis on try, to cook Sunday – Wednesday and have leftovers on Thursday. This recipe is a perfect leftover meal.
