Hey y’all! Hope you’re having a terrific day. Here’s a little chuckle for you.
Today’s post is a crafting one. I have always loved doing little DIY projects. It’s my way to destress.
Since I shared my daughter’s room with y’all a few days ago, I figured I would work on something I’ve been wanting to do for a few months now. We pierced Sadie’s ears at two months, so her earrings collection is slowly growing. I searched online for a pretty way to display them, and couldn’t find anything I liked. So I decided just to make something.
This is what I picked up at my local craft store.
- Box picture frame
- A sheet of burlap
- Flower embellishments
- Hot glue gun & sticks
- Scissors
Step 1: First I took the frame apart. I used the paper on the inside of the frame as the pattern for the size. I then traced it on the burlap and cut it out.
3. I hot glued the burlap to the front of the frame. This took a little stretching since the burlap was a little bit small. If I were to do this again, I would just trace the actual frame.
4. I then started decorating. I glued on the purple flowers to the corners.
I didn’t like that I could still see the black marker. I went to my craft box and found some flowers I had left over from other projects. I pulled off the leaves from the flowers and glued them around the frame.
And viola!
Here is the finished project. I hung some of my earring on there as well. Just in case you thought I was putting those big butterflies in her ears.
The whole project took me about 30 minutes. I really liked the way it turned out. I think it will be a cute way to display her growing collection. It also goes perfect with her Woodland Fairy room.
Make sure to check back next Wednesday for another project.
